Hisense launches HT SATURN surround system in Australia
Hisense has released the HT SATURN, a 4.1.2-channel surround sound system, in Australia with a recommended retail price of AUD $1,199.00.
The sound system is equipped with the "Tuned by Devialet" certification, combining Hisense's Hi-Concerto architecture with acoustic engineering from Devialet. The HT SATURN is designed to deliver cinema-quality audio and immersive three-dimensional sound for home environments.
Specifications and features
The HT SATURN features a 13-speaker array with 720W maximum audio power. Four satellite units each contain up-firing speakers, tweeters, and full-range speakers, while a separate 6.5-inch wireless subwoofer is intended to provide distortion-free bass tones.
Central to its operation is Hisense's Hi-Concerto Technology, which synchronises the system with speakers from compatible Hisense televisions.
The system also supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, arranging audio output to create a 7.1.2-channel three-dimensional soundstage that envelops listeners both overhead and behind.
According to Hisense, "HT SATURN pumps out 720W Max audio power through a meticulously arranged 13‐speaker array. Four satellite units each house up‐firing speakers, tweeters, and full‐range speakers, while a standalone 6.5‐inch wireless subwoofer ensures distortion‐free bass that reverberates with authority. Together, these precision‐tuned drivers recreate every whisper of dialogue, sweeping musical score, and thunderous explosion with breathtaking clarity and impact."
The system has been jointly engineered with Devialet, using tuning technologies aimed at delivering balanced tonal range and reflecting content creators' intent across various entertainment types including film, games, and music.
"HT SATURN has been co‐engineered with Devialet for unparalleled audio brilliance. Devialet's proprietary tuning technologies deliver precise sound reproduction with optimal tonal balance, dynamic range, and depth. The result is sound that precisely reflects the creator's intent—whether you're lost in a blockbuster film, locked into high‐stakes gameplay, or savouring your favourite album."
Connectivity and design
The HT SATURN supports tri-band wireless transmission across 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz frequency bands. Inputs available include Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI IN, HDMI eARC, and Optical connections for integration with televisions, consoles, and streaming devices. The EzPlay feature allows users to operate the system through their Hisense TV remote control, with adjustments displayed on the TV screen. The system's components can be wall-mounted or placed freestanding.
Five preset sound modes are accessible—Standard, Movie, Music, Game, and Sport—alongside effects such as Surround, Night, Voice, AI, and Virtual:X.
The system also supports an intelligent room-correction function via Hisense TV's room fitting tuning, analysing and adjusting for acoustic properties of different spaces.
