Microsoft announces special Xbox One X 'Project Scorpio' Edition and more at Gamescom 2017
Mon, 21st Aug 2017
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Microsoft announced a ton of things earlier today at Gamescom 2017. This includes a special version of both the Xbox One X and Xbox One S.  The biggest announcement of the day is the 'Project Scorpio' edition for the upcoming Xbox One X. This comes with a new design with the letters Project Scorpio engraved on the console and controller. This version of the console retails for $749 NZD in New Zealand. Not only does it come with a controller, but you also receive a vertical stand too.

Another special console that you can get later this year is the special "Xbox One S Minecraft Limited Edition Bundle". This console is built out of grass and dirt (not literally) and has a 1TB hard drive. It will be available on October 3rd, 2017.

Some other new announcements include some fresh games. Jurassic World Evolution was revealed where you can make your own dinosaur theme park. This particular video game will be out in 2018.

Microsoft also revealed that ReCore: Definitive Edition is releasing on August 29th, 2017. This version of the game includes better visuals and HDR support. It also comes with additional content. If you already own ReCore, the extra stuff is coming for free via an update.

One of the biggest game reveals is that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will soon be available to play on Xbox One. The PC game recently became a worldwide hit, and now Xbox gamers can join in on the fun. It will be available via Xbox Game Preview later this year.
