Samsung launches new Galaxy devices in Australia with AI focus

Fri, 26th Sep 2025

Samsung Electronics Australia has announced the local launch of its updated Galaxy line-up, bringing a range of tablets, smartphones, and earbuds to the Australian market.

The new Galaxy range includes the Galaxy Tab S11 Series, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Buds3 FE, Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, and Galaxy A17 5G, all of which are available to consumers in Australia from today.

Product range

The Galaxy Tab S11 Series is positioned as Samsung's most advanced tablet to date, featuring both the Galaxy AI suite and a newly redesigned S Pen, which is included in the package. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra model is the thinnest device in the range so far and is equipped with a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, providing up to 1600 nits peak brightness. Both models in the series include a 3nm processor, new productivity software such as Extended Mode in Samsung DeX, and ultra-thin bezels for improved visual experience.

The company states that Galaxy AI "is at the heart of the experience, enhanced by One UI 8, understanding what users type, say and see, and offering a more seamless, multimodal AI experience with tools that assist in real time."

Prices for the Galaxy Tab S11 Series start from AUD $1,399 for the standard model and AUD $2,099 for the Ultra model. Both devices are available in Grey.

The Galaxy S25 FE is introduced as an entry point to Samsung's flagship smartphone line-up. It is designed around Galaxy AI features and, according to Samsung, offers a balance of key high-end features at a lower price point, starting from AUD $1,099. Features include an Armour Aluminium frame, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, upgraded 12MP front camera, and AI-powered tools for image and productivity enhancements.

The Galaxy S25 FE is also being promoted with six months' access to the Google AI Pro plan with additional features in Gemini, Flow, and NotebookLM, with colour options available in Icyblue, Jetblack and Navy.

The Galaxy Buds3 FE are being launched with a price of AUD $249 and are available in Black and Grey. According to Samsung, these earbuds deliver high-quality audio, active noise cancellation, and Galaxy AI integrations that extend to real-time translation when paired with a compatible Galaxy smartphone.

For tablet buyers seeking greater affordability, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is being released at an entry price of AUD $599. This device comes with a 10.9-inch display, S Pen, and bundled access to a selection of creative and productivity applications, with colour options including Grey, Silver, and Coralred.

The Galaxy A17 adds to Samsung's mid-range smartphone offering, with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate, triple camera setup and a price tag starting from AUD $349 for the 5G model. The LTE variant will be released in October for AUD $299. Samsung's extended software support includes up to six years of security updates, and the device is rated IP54 for water and dust resistance.

Integration of artificial intelligence

All new Galaxy devices announced now integrate the company's Galaxy AI platform, designed to enhance features such as real-time translation, productivity, photography, and user interface flexibility. This move is part of what Samsung describes as its ongoing effort to provide AI-powered features to a broader section of consumers.

"We're thrilled to be launching so many new products in the Galaxy ecosystem today that are aimed at enhancing communication, productivity and entertainment for even more Australians," said Eric Chou, Vice President of Mobile eXperience, Samsung Electronics Australia. "The launch of Galaxy Tab S11 series, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Buds3 FE, Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, and Galaxy A17 furthers our commitment to democratise AI to empower Australians to simplify their lives."

Galaxy AI features are currently being offered to consumers at no additional cost, with Samsung indicating that "there are currently no plans to charge for Galaxy AI features" but reserving the right to change terms, particularly in relation to third-party features, at the end of 2025.

Promotional offers

Samsung is supporting the launch of its new line-up with a range of incentives for early purchasers through its own retail channels as well as various Australian telco and electronics retail partners. Offers include discounts towards storage upgrades, introductory pricing on Galaxy Buds3 FE, bundled accessories, and gift cards for qualifying purchases across leading retailers.

The company also highlighted the availability of the 'Try Galaxy' application, which enables non-Samsung users to preview Galaxy device software features-including Galaxy AI-before considering a purchase.

The new Galaxy devices are available from today via Samsung's retail channels and selected partners, with the exception of the Galaxy A17 LTE, which launches in October and will be offered in Black.
