White iPhone 4 off the radar for 2010

Apple has officially delayed the highly sought-after white version of its iPhone 4, blaming the manufacturing process for the wait.

In a short statement about the delay, Apple said, "White models of Apple's new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.

Back in August leaked pictures and a YouTube video emerged from a Chinese factory worker showed that the white iPhone 4 was in production. Maybe demand is proving too much for Apple at the moment?

So, white iPhone 4 – sometime next year. Can you wait that long?
