Anker SOLIX unveils Everfrost 2 electric coolers in Australia
Anker SOLIX has introduced the Everfrost 2, a battery-powered electric cooler, for customers in Australia.
The Everfrost 2 is available in two sizes: a 40-litre model and a 58-litre dual-zone version. It is designed to maintain cooling for up to 4.3 days on a single charge for the smaller model, or 3.2 days for the larger version, which uses two batteries. Each cooler can be recharged through an AC outlet, 12V car socket, USB-C, or a 100W solar input, offering flexibility for users during outdoor activities or in remote locations.
Features and design
The device uses FrostFlow 360° air-cooling technology, which eliminates the need for ice and maximises internal storage by preventing meltwater. The inclusion of this technology addresses common issues with traditional coolers, such as lost storage space to ice and concerns about beverages and food becoming waterlogged during use.
Cooling performance for the Everfrost 2 allows it to reduce temperatures from 25°C to 0°C in about 15 minutes. The 58-litre version features a dual-zone configuration, enabling users to chill and freeze items simultaneously in separate compartments. Both models cater to a temperature range of -20°C to 20°C and are equipped with weather resistance rated to IPX3, six-inch wheels, and a suitcase-style handle. These additions are designed to enhance mobility across various environments, including sand, gravel, and garden spaces, reflecting consideration of the Australian landscape.
The Everfrost 2 also features detachable batteries that can serve as power banks, equipped with a 60W USB-C port and a 12W USB-A port. This utility allows users to charge personal electronic devices while away from conventional power sources. Users can also control settings and monitor the cooler's performance via the Anker app, which provides remote management capabilities from compatible smartphones.
Pricing and launch offer
The 40-litre model comes with one 288Wh battery and is listed with a recommended retail price of AUD $1,799, available at a launch price of AUD $1,099. The 58-litre model, also supplied with one 288Wh battery, has a recommended retail price of AUD $2,099, with an introductory price of AUD $1,399. Both models can be purchased nationally through Anker SOLIX Australia, with the launch pricing valid until 13 October 2025.
Addressing local needs
Phil Krok, Sales Manager at Anker SOLIX ANZ, highlighted the product's purpose, focusing on its practical benefits for Australian conditions. He said:
"We designed the Everfrost 2 with the Australian summer in mind. It doesn't matter if you're camping in the bush or spending the weekend at the beach, you can count on it to stay cold without the hassle of ice. It's about making summer easier, so you can focus on enjoying it."
The launch responds to the growing demand among Australians for more efficient and sustainable ways to manage food and drinks during outdoor activities. Traditional coolers often require frequent replenishment of ice, result in wasted usable space, and can leave users with soggy or submerged items. The Everfrost 2 aims to mitigate these issues by providing consistent electric cooling and eliminating the regular need for ice top-ups.
Technical details
The technical specifications for the Everfrost 2 indicate that the 40-litre model weighs 25.5kg with a battery and measures 749 x 459 x 493mm. The 58-litre version, equipped with dual batteries, weighs 33.9kg and measures 986 x 459 x 493mm. Battery configuration options enable users to extend runtime as needed, and the cooling speed varies according to the operating mode. In Max mode, for example, the 58-litre model can chill a single zone in 13 minutes or both zones in 29 minutes.
The introduction of the Everfrost 2 in Australia offers an alternative to conventional ice-based coolers, appealing to outdoor enthusiasts seeking convenience and efficiency during summer outings, barbecues, and camping trips.
