In an unusual move, Apple has released a second update of its Lion operating system, OS X 10.7.2.
What makes this unusual is that Apple has yet to release the first update, 10.7.1, and indeed only launched the OS last week.
The 10.7.2 version has been distributed solely to help developers work the final kinks out of Apple's iCloud software, which is now in its fifth iteration and is due to be released to the market this quarter.
Apple is expected to release a beta Lion, 10.7.1, in coming weeks, to clean up any glitches that have emerged with the OS since its release last Wednesday.
