BlueAnt launches X5i speaker with impressive upgrades

BlueAnt has announced the release of the X5i, the latest iteration of its X5 portable party speaker. 

The X5i boasts an impressive 120W of power, doubling the original model's output. 

It is equipped with two 58mm tweeters and BlueAnt's signature psycho-acoustic bass, delivering substantial bass performance across all volume levels.

The speaker also features edge lighting with seven beat-driven light modes, enhancing the audio experience visually.

The unit includes two wireless microphones, providing over 50 hours of playtime and excellent range even beyond direct line of sight. This ensures the speaker remains versatile and effective for various occasions. BlueAnt CEO Taisen Maddern remarked on the improvements, "This is a triumph which builds on the success of the X5 and tinkers only in the ways that amplify the experience for the users.

We've fine-tuned the beat-driven light display and we've made the microphones free and unfettered – all while continuing to focus on the audio which, in the case of the X5i, is better than ever."

The portability of the X5i is maintained with its 4.8kg weight, despite the inclusion of a 20800mAh battery, which is double the size of its predecessor.

This hefty battery supports up to 30 hours of playback at 50 per cent volume and seven hours at maximum volume, with continuous play achievable via AC power.

The X5i supports multiple playback options including Bluetooth 5.4, AUX, and USB, accommodating a variety of user needs. Furthermore, duo mode allows two X5i speakers to pair for an expanded soundstage.

Further emphasising the audio technology at work, Maddern stated, "It's been engineered for all audio forms; from punk to pop, from metal to melodic and even podcasts, we've ensured audio is the king with the X5i.
