Boost Mobile extends Supercars deal with tech focus

Fri, 27th Feb 2026

Boost Mobile has expanded its partnership with Supercars under a multi-year agreement running through to the end of 2028. The deal adds new sponsorship properties linked to race communications and technical operations, while retaining several high-profile event and award rights.

Boost Mobile will continue as Official Telecommunications Partner of the Repco Supercars Championship. It also remains attached to the Gold Coast 500 and the series' Pole Award, alongside the Boost Mobile Qualifying branding.

New properties

Two additions sit at the centre of the expanded deal. The first is Boost Mobile Race Radio, a branded communications asset tied to Supercars' race and broadcast output across live and digital coverage. The second is a presenting partnership for the Supercars Motorsport Technical Team, which handles technical and operational functions across the championship.

Supercars' central technical group works across race weekends, supporting areas behind the on-track contest. Its responsibilities include elements of event operations and the technical framework within which teams and officials operate.

The Race Radio element adds a specific branding layer around communications content. Supercars has increasingly packaged official audio and behind-the-scenes access as part of its broader media offering, alongside television and trackside experiences.

Brand continuity

The Gold Coast 500 is one of the championship's major events and the opening round of the Supercars Finals. The naming rights give Boost Mobile ongoing visibility across event signage, coverage and promotional material tied to the meeting.

Boost Mobile also retains naming rights to the Pole Award, linking the operator to qualifying outcomes across the season. The Boost Mobile Qualifying naming asset also remains in place under the renewed agreement.

Boost Mobile and Supercars first partnered in 2021. The expanded agreement positions the operator closer to race weekend communications and technical operations, rather than limiting the relationship to marketing inventory at events.

Connectivity focus

Telecommunications partners in major sports typically supply services and infrastructure for event sites, team operations and internal communications. In motorsport, the role often intersects with live production demands and circuit-wide operational requirements, given the need for reliable links between control rooms, officials, teams and broadcast facilities.

Boost Mobile framed the expanded role around connectivity and technology, with an emphasis on the viewing and fan experience. It also described the arrangement as deeper integration into how the championship operates across teams, broadcast and communications.

Bobby Geldens, CEO of Boost Mobile, said the deal builds on earlier involvement with a sharper focus on communications and technology at events.

"We're excited to be going bigger and better than ever with Supercars," Geldens said.

"This partnership has always been about more than brand signage at events-it's about connection, innovation and enhancing the fan experience for a sport that thrives on speed, reliability and performance. By deepening our role as Supercars' connectivity and motorsport tech partner, we're helping power the championship with leading connectivity to bring fans closer to the action. We can't wait to see what the next three years deliver."

Commercial context

Supercars has relied on long-term commercial partners to underpin its calendar and media production, with event naming rights and season-long award branding remaining common structures. Telecommunications is also a category with a clear fit for sports marketing, given the overlap between mobile services, live content consumption and venue connectivity.

Jamie Black, Chief Revenue Officer at Supercars, described the agreement as an extension of the relationship that now includes a broader technical element.

"We're thrilled to extend our partnership with a loyal and exciting brand in Boost Mobile," Black said. "Their commitment to innovation and their passion for motorsport makes them an ideal long‐term partner. With the expansion of Boost Mobile's technical role and the continuation of iconic assets like the Boost Mobile Pole Award and Gold Coast 500, the partnership is stronger than ever."

The championship's next stop is Albert Park for the Melbourne SuperSprint, held as part of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix weekend.
