Boost Mobile slashes SIM & phone prices for Black Friday sale
Boost Mobile is offering discounts on prepaid SIMs and refurbished smartphones in a series of Black Friday deals, with savings available on both short and long-expiry mobile plans as well as selected devices.
SIM discounts
The company has reduced the cost of several eSIM and physical SIM packages, with short-expiry options starting at AUD $10. Customers can access up to 74% off selected plans, including the 28-day $39 plan now available for AUD $10. Each plan offers a combination of core and bonus data, with the entry-level plan including 25GB of data-rising to 75GB for the first three recharges as part of a temporary promotion. Higher-value plans offer additional data, including up to 160GB for new activations on the $74 plan during the introductory period. All options include unlimited national calls and text, with varying levels of international calling allowances.
The long-expiry option is discounted from AUD $365 to AUD $305 for customers who purchase before December. The 12-month plan includes unlimited calls and texts to standard Australian numbers and 365GB of data-enough for an average of 1GB per day over the year.
Device savings
Boost Mobile is also offering up to 15% off selected refurbished phones. Devices go through a 72-point quality check and come bundled with a 28-day Boost SIM, a 12-month warranty, and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is offered for AUD $1,197.65, a saving of AUD $211.35 from its regular price. The iPhone 13 is now available for AUD $483.65, while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 starts at AUD $619.65. Other options include the iPhone SE2020 at AUD $228.65.
Selected refurbished iPhones, including the Apple iPhone SE3 (64GB), are also available at Coles supermarkets, beginning at AUD $489-down from the typical retail price of AUD $599. All devices provided through this partnership include Boost SIMs and are covered by warranties.
Retail presence
Boost Mobile's discounted SIMs and device offerings are available not only through its website but also through major retail partners including Coles and Woolworths. The $39 recharge pack is available for AUD $10 at both supermarkets during the sale period, with bonus data for new activations. Plans purchased at retail also include unlimited calls and texts to a range of international destinations, as well as options to add international roaming packs.
Customer trends
Boost Mobile has referenced recent research which shows that value for money (72%), low pricing (63%), and network quality (58%) are the top factors Australians consider when deciding to switch telecommunications providers. The company provides access to the full Telstra Prepaid Mobile Network for all its services, a feature often cited by customers concerned about coverage, particularly in regional areas.
"This year's Black Friday Deals give Aussies a chance to join a network that works its arse off for its customers, and also shows the brand's ongoing commitment to provide exceptional service as cost-of-living pressures continue to rise," said Peter Adderton, Founder, Boost Mobile.
