Samsung brings AI home range to CES, Australia in 2026

Fri, 19th Dec 2025

Samsung will use next year's CES trade show in Las Vegas to showcase an expanded range of AI-linked home appliances focused on laundry, garment care, air conditioning and robotic cleaning, with Australian launches scheduled from 2026.

The electronics group said it will display upgraded versions of its Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and Bespoke AI AirDresser, a new Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner and its flagship Bespoke AI Jet Bot Ultra robot vacuum.

The new products sit within Samsung's broader strategy for AI-connected living across its SmartThings ecosystem. The company has framed home appliances as a key area for applying embedded AI and sensor-based automation.

"This year, to enhance the living experience, we are unveiling our upgraded Laundry Combo, and WindFree Air Conditioner, developed by integrating valuable customer feedback and leveraging the R&D expertise we have accumulated over the years," said Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team for the Digital Appliances (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics. "Through our continuous innovation, we are elevating how users interact with their appliances on a day-to-day basis."

Bespoke laundry

The 2026 Bespoke AI Laundry Combo builds on a model first introduced in 2024. Samsung said the updated unit offers shorter wash-to-dry cycles and an upgraded drying system.

The Super Speed wash cycle uses a high-pressure Speed Spray. Samsung said this improves detergent penetration and rinsing. A new Booster Heat Exchanger handles drying and is designed to raise overall drying performance.

The appliance introduces an Auto Open Door+ feature. The door opens automatically at the end of wash-only cycles and internal air circulation activates. Samsung said this is intended to limit musty odours from damp laundry left in the drum.

The upgraded AI Wash & Dry+ function uses multiple onboard sensors for each load. The system weighs laundry to determine a water and detergent level. It identifies five fabric types, including Outdoor and Denim, and tracks soil levels during the wash.

A redesigned Wide Lint Filter adopts a one-touch removal structure. It uses a dual-layer design and a larger capture area for lint and particles.

Samsung will sell the Laundry Combo in two interface variants. One version carries a 7-inch LCD screen. A second model uses a 2.8-inch LCD and a jog dial at a lower price point. The company plans an Australian release in 2026 and has not yet confirmed local pricing or exact launch dates.

Refreshing garments

Samsung is also returning its Bespoke AI AirDresser wardrobe appliance with a new iteration three years after the previous model. The new unit focuses on wrinkle reduction, fabric freshness and automated drying for different load sizes.

The AirDresser adds an Auto Wrinkle Care function. This uses an enhanced Dual AirWash system and a Dual JetSteam system. Samsung said the combination smooths wrinkles quickly during time-pressured use. The Dual JetSteam also applies high-temperature heat deeper into fabrics.

An updated drying course automatically adjusts drying times across small, medium or large loads. Samsung said this aims to avoid over-drying or under-drying and maintain fabric quality.

The product links with the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo through an Auto Cycle Link feature. Once a washing cycle ends, the AirDresser recommends a corresponding drying course. When a special-care cycle such as the Blouse Cycle is selected on the Combo, the same setting is automatically prepared on the AirDresser, creating a continuous garment-care sequence.

The latest design introduces a One Body Door and a 2.8-inch LCD screen. Australian pricing and availability remain unannounced.

Smarter cooling

The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner will headline Samsung's air treatment portfolio at CES. The model adds AI features, motion tracking and a revised blade structure intended to give users more control over airflow direction and intensity.

The indoor unit now uses three blades instead of one. The Triple Motion Wings create seven wind modes. These include Max Wind for quicker cooling, Surround Wind for more even airflow, Long Reach Wind for extended air throw and Down Wind for faster downward delivery of cool air.

Radar-based AI Direct and Indirect Wind modes monitor user presence. The system then directs or diverts airflow based on whether people are in the room and where they are located.

AI Fast & Comfort Cooling examines temperature, humidity and room size. It then selects an appropriate cooling pattern across Fast Cooling, WindFree comfort or Dry Comfort modes. AI Energy Mode tracks usage patterns and external conditions and modulates compressor activity in response, which Samsung said can reduce energy use.

The new WindFree model will reach the Australian market in 2026. Samsung has not yet disclosed local pricing.

Upgraded robot vacuum

Samsung will also show the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Ultra robot vacuum. The model introduces object and liquid recognition features, higher computing performance and revised mechanics for moving over household thresholds.

The Jet Bot Ultra runs on a Qualcomm Dragonwing processor. It uses deep learning-based AI Object Recognition for navigation. Samsung said the vacuum can better identify humans, cats, dogs and obstacles such as cables or rugs.

The robot also supports AI Liquid Recognition. It detects liquid spills and then either cleans the area or avoids it, in line with user settings.

Mechanical updates include a new Easy Pass Wheel configuration. The system lifts the robot's main body and lowers the wheels when it meets a height change. Samsung said the unit can now climb thresholds of up to 60mm.

"Through our continuous innovation, we are elevating how users interact with their appliances on a day-to-day basis," said Moon.

Samsung plans to demonstrate the full AI-connected line-up at its showroom in the Wynn Las Vegas complex during CES and expects the Australian roll-out of key products in 2026.
