Samsung launches ePaper, eBoard and rugged Pro devices
Samsung has released its complete 2025 lineup of enterprise technology solutions, highlighting incredible innovations designed to meet the growing demands for durable, smart and energy-efficient devices in retail, education and frontline work environments.
The new offerings include the Samsung Colour E-Paper (EMDX model), Samsung Interactive eBoard (WAF model), and ruggedised mobile devices - Galaxy XCover7 Pro smartphone and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro tablet.
All products have been designed with sustainability, usability and performance in mind.
"At Samsung we are proud to power Australian business across an array of sectors through long-term partnerships, all built on a deep understanding of customers' specific needs," said Neal Elliott, Acting Head of Pro-Display, Samsung Electronics Australia.
"We understand Australian enterprises are looking for technology that's not only powerful and intuitive, but developed to last, and designed with sustainability in mind."
"With our 2025 enterprise range, we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering smart, durable and efficient solutions, all with the aim to help organisations unlock new levels of productivity, engagement and connectivity."
Eco-conscious displays for modern retail
A key part of the new lineup is the Samsung Colour E-Paper, which aims to offer a low-energy, paperless alternative to in-store promotional materials.
According to PwC Australia research, 64% of retail businesses surveyed found digital signage more cost-effective than paper-based equivalents. Additionally, 74% believe digital point-of-sale signage could reduce costs by up to 50%, with nearly half of respondents considering a switch.
The EMDX model consumes minimal power when displaying static images and comes with a 32-inch screen (2560 x 1440), optimised for both portrait and landscape modes. It also features a rechargeable battery, USB-C ports, wireless connectivity, and compatibility with Samsung's cloud-based Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT) management platform.
Environmental considerations are also central to its design, with 55% post-consumer recycled content used in components and packaging made from paper-based materials.
Transforming education and collaboration with eBoard
Also introduced was the Samsung Interactive eBoard (WAF model), designed to improve classroom engagement and facilitate more dynamic collaboration in professional settings.
"As education and workplace environments continue to evolve, the need for collaborative, easy-to-use digital tools has never been greater," said Elliott.
"The Samsung Interactive eBoard delivers an experience that is both familiar and powerful - blending the simplicity of a traditional whiteboard with the intelligence and versatility of a digital platform."
Available in 65", 75" and 86" sizes, the eBoard is equipped with features such as real-time annotation, dual-pen functionality, multi-touch support, and seamless wireless casting. It also integrates tools like Smart Note-On and File Converter for better organisation and workflow efficiency. The WAF model is powered by Android 14 and includes 8GB RAM and 64GB of storage, backed by a new octa-core CPU.
Google EDLA certification allows integration with services such as Google Classroom and Google Drive. Samsung says the eBoard will be available in Australia from June and will remain compatible with the previous WAD series.
Rugged devices for frontline professionals
Completing Samsung's 2025 enterprise range are the Galaxy XCover7 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro, designed for frontline workers in demanding environments. Both devices combine rugged construction with enterprise-grade features to support continuous operation in industries such as logistics, construction, government and retail.
"At Samsung, we understand that frontline professionals need technology that adapts to their fast-paced and demanding work environments," said Anthony Stewart, Head of Mobile Experience B2B at Samsung Electronics Australia.
"The Galaxy XCover7 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro combine ruggedised durability tested against the MIL-STD-810H standards, enterprise-grade security, seamless connectivity and intelligent AI-driven features to help businesses operate efficiently in various conditions while maximising productivity and minimising downtime."
The devices offer IP68-rated water and dust resistance, enhanced touch sensitivity for use with gloves, and extended battery life. The Tab Active5 Pro further supports dual hot-swappable batteries, allowing users to replace power sources on the go without interrupting workflows.
Samsung has also introduced upgraded communication tools, including anti-feedback stereo speakers for clearer audio in loud or crowded environments. Additional features include support for Samsung DeX, programmable keys, dual SIM capability, and AI enhancements such as Circle to Search with Google and Object Eraser.
The Tab Active5 Pro includes front-facing NFC tagging for fast authentication and mobile payment capabilities, while its increased screen brightness of up to 600 nits ensures visibility in outdoor conditions.
With these additions, Samsung continues to expand its portfolio of business-focused technology - delivering solutions that are built to endure, adaptable to diverse work environments, and developed to help businesses stay connected, secure and productive.
The Galaxy XCover7 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro are now available in Australia through authorised resellers.
