Acer has unveiled its latest gaming desktop, the Predator Orion 7000, at IFA Berlin 2024, delivering high-performance features aimed at enhancing the gaming experience. The new desktop is set to be available in Australia from Q1 2025, with prices starting from AUD $7999.

The Predator Orion 7000 harnesses the power of Intel's next-generation processors and includes the option of up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. This formidable combination promises to deliver top-tier gaming performance, making it appealing to competitive gamers. Acer has integrated the Predator CycloneX 360 system, which consists of a 3-in-1 fan setup and a CPU liquid cooler, to manage the internal temperatures and maintain optimal performance of the machine.

The advanced cooling system is designed to expel heat efficiently from critical areas within the unit. According to Acer, the CycloneX 360 fan system, working alongside the 360 mm CPU liquid cooler, enhances the desktop's cooling efficiency by 15% and lowers the motherboard temperatures by nine degrees Celsius compared to the previous model.

Another notable feature is the PredatorSense 4.0 utility application. This integrated app allows users to overclock the desktop's components and customize the ARGB and RGB lighting to their preferences. This level of customization provides gamers with the ability to adjust the system to suit their unique gaming needs, facilitating a more immersive experience.

Connectivity is another area where the Predator Orion 7000 stands out. It is equipped with Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 7, capable of delivering speeds between 40 to 46 Gbps, ensuring speedy and stable connections crucial for online gaming. Storage options do not disappoint, with configurations available up to 4 TB HDD and 6 TB PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD. An additional SSD swap slot allows for further storage expansion, catering to gamers' extensive game libraries.

The desktop also comes with 32 GB or 16 GB of DDR5 memory, with the capability of expanding up to 128 GB, ensuring smooth and lag-free gaming sessions. It operates on Windows 11 Home, leveraging the latest operating system features designed to complement advanced gaming performance.

Physical attributes of the Predator Orion 7000 include a robust build, with dimensions measuring 219 mm in width, 504.8 mm in depth, and 485 mm in height, and a weight of 25 kg. The power supply is rated at 1200W, ensuring sufficient power for its high-end components. Input and output ports are aplenty, including several USB 3.2 ports, an audio jack array, and a Thunderbolt 4 port, making it versatile for various accessory and peripheral connections.

Included peripherals are a wired keyboard with a Copilot key and a mouse, which further add to the out-of-the-box usability for gamers. Additionally, Acer offers three months of Xbox Game Pass, granting users access to a library of high-quality PC games.

Specifications for the Predator Orion 7000 are impressive, and the device is tailored to meet the needs of serious gamers and technology enthusiasts. The inclusion of advanced cooling solutions, high-end graphical and processing capabilities, extensive storage options, and customizability through the PredatorSense 4.0 app makes it a noteworthy competitor in the high-performance gaming desktop market.

With its release scheduled for early 2025 in ANZ, gaming enthusiasts are likely to follow updates and availabilities closely as they look forward to testing this powerful new addition to Acer's Predator series.
