Apple announces Mac event

Apple has this week been sending out invites to the US press for a Mac-focused event due to be held at the company's HQ next week.

The event will be held at the Apple campus on Wednesday, October 20th.

Back to the Mac invites appear to show a lion peeking through an Apple logo, which keeps Apple's tradition of using animals for product versions alive and kicking.

The invites say that Apple will preview of the next version of Mac OS X-which is Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, according to Macworld.
