EcoFlow unveils DELTA 3 Max Plus power station in Australia
EcoFlow has launched the DELTA 3 Max Plus portable power station in Australia, positioning it as a 2kWh unit with a 3000W AC output for home backup, outdoor use and worksites.
The DELTA 3 Max Plus has a stated capacity of 2048Wh. EcoFlow lists a 3000W rated AC output, with 6000W surge output and up to 3900W using its X-Boost feature.
For the Australian market, the unit includes a built-in high-current Anderson-style DC output. EcoFlow describes it as "Anderson-ready" and says the port supports direct connections to four-wheel drives, caravans and auxiliary battery systems without additional adapters.
Target uses
EcoFlow lists high-draw equipment the DELTA 3 Max Plus can run, including electric kettles, lawn mowers, water pumps, electric chainsaws and power tools such as circular saws and drills. It also highlights household appliances such as refrigerators and microwaves.
The unit supports expansion through compatible Smart Extra Batteries. EcoFlow says the system can scale from 2kWh to 10kWh for longer-duration outage backup, and can power essential home circuits for up to three days depending on usage.
Charging options
EcoFlow says the DELTA 3 Max Plus supports five charging methods: AC charging up to 2300W, solar charging up to 1000W, alternator charging up to 1000W, generator charging up to 2400W, and hybrid combinations.
On AC power, EcoFlow claims 0-80% charge in 47 minutes. For alternator charging, it is also promoting an accessory, the Alternator Charger Plus 1000, which it says can add about 1kWh in one hour of driving under ideal conditions.
EcoFlow says the Alternator Charger Plus 1000 is a 3-in-1 device that works as a battery maintainer and reverse-charging system, and supports solar input up to 300W. It also integrates with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for monitoring via a vehicle display.
App controls
The DELTA 3 Max Plus includes a feature EcoFlow calls Smart Output Priority, which it says is exclusive to the Plus model. Users control it through the EcoFlow app on Apple and Android devices.
EcoFlow says the feature offers independent circuit control to manage outputs individually and prioritise selected loads. It also includes customisable discharge settings to set reserve thresholds that shut down non-essential devices. EcoFlow says an overload setting can cut non-critical circuits first when demand exceeds 3000W.
Hardware design
EcoFlow says the DELTA 3 Max Plus uses LFP battery chemistry and a cell-to-chassis structural design, which it claims improves thermal stability and supports up to 10 years of lifespan.
Other specifications include a 10ms UPS switchover time for backup use, and a stated noise level of 25dB or below at a 600W load. EcoFlow also lists drop resistance, tolerance up to 95% humidity, and a cloud-based battery management system that tracks charge status, battery health and temperature.
Software features include an AI Mode that EcoFlow says can automate charging during off-peak periods and discharging during peak demand. Another setting, Self-Powered Mode, stores excess solar energy for later use, according to EcoFlow.
Pricing
EcoFlow has set a recommended retail price of AUD $2,999 for the DELTA 3 Max Plus in Australia. The Smart Extra Battery is priced at AUD $2,099, and the Alternator Charger Plus 1000 at AUD $749.
EcoFlow is also planning early-bird pricing for the power station, with staged discounts across March and into early April, alongside promotional bundles that include Smart Extra Batteries and solar panels.
"Designed specifically for Australian conditions, the DELTA 3 Max Plus is Anderson-ready, featuring a built-in high-current Anderson-style DC output that enables direct connection to 4WDs, caravans and auxiliary battery systems without additional adapters," said EcoFlow.
The DELTA 3 Max Plus will be sold through EcoFlow's online store, as well as Amazon and eBay in Australia.
