File-sharing protests gathering steam

Protests against the government's file sharing bill are gathering steam, with over 2500 people pledging on Facebook to attend events around the country.
To be held in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin from midday to 3pm this Saturday, the protests are in opposition to the Copyright (Infringing File Sharing) Amendment Bill, also known as the 'Skynet' bill.
Well over 2000 people have pledged to attend the Auckland event, with nearly 500 more registering for the other rallies.
14,343 people have 'liked' the Facebook page for opposing the bill.
