i-PRO expands Aero PTZ line with 19 weatherproof models

Yesterday

i-PRO has announced the expansion of its Aero PTZ camera line with 19 new models designed to withstand extreme weather conditions while featuring edge AI analytics capabilities.

The new Aero PTZ models offer support for up to 4K resolution and integrate AI-driven analytics, such as advanced auto-tracking, to ensure clarity and precise data collection in varied environments.

"The combination of extreme weather resistance and advanced AI-based analytics, like advanced auto-tracking to ensure clear visibility and accurate data in any environment, sets this PTZ apart," said Gerard Figols, Chief Product Officer at i-PRO. "The Aero PTZ line now incorporates edge computing technology, aligning with our goal of bringing the advantages of AI everywhere. This makes it the most robust model on the market in terms of reliability and analytic power, capable of proactively securing mission-critical environments under the most extreme conditions such as hurricanes and cyclones."

The durability of the Aero PTZ cameras is underscored by their ability to operate in temperatures ranging from -50°C to 65°C and their resistance to shocks, water, and salt corrosion. With ratings of IK10, MIL-STD-167-1A, and IP66/68, these cameras ensure uninterrupted video surveillance during adverse weather.

The cameras feature a zoom range of up to 40x and can function in winds up to 270 km/h, exceeding the needs for category-five cyclone and hurricane conditions. i-PRO's newly developed transparent glass heater further supports their reliable performance in challenging environments.

The Aero PTZ boasts AI-based auto-tracking technology to maintain focus on individuals and vehicles even in complete darkness, aided by its IR illumination range of 560 meters. "The Aero PTZ features the longest nighttime IR illumination among PTZs in the industry. In addition to IR, white-light illumination can be turned on to deter intruders and preserve color information when required," adds Figols.

The product line supports i-PRO's open AI development platform, allowing for the installation of up to three simultaneous AI applications on the 4K models and two on the 2MP models. This flexibility aids customisation for specific operational uses, such as employing Vaxtor OCR applications to read container numbers in ports alongside Noema detection apps for identifying fire and smoke.

For enhanced cybersecurity, the Aero PTZ cameras include signed firmware, brute-force protection, and compliance with FIPS 140-2 level 3 standards, incorporating a secure element chip to protect against cyber threats.

Installation is designed to be straightforward, featuring easy kitting, cable connectors, and a newly designed mount bracket that facilitates setup by a single person. Power options are flexible, supporting both 100-240V AC and 24V AC/DC.

The Aero PTZ is available in various resolutions and illumination types, meeting a multitude of operational requirements and includes support for additional industry standards such as NEMA TS2, MIL STD-810-G, IEC 62236-4, and EN 50121-4.

The new models are set to be available for order from December 2024 through i-PRO's network of global resellers.
