Jamo introduces C707PA MKII speaker in Australia at AUD $1,399

Wed, 27th Aug 2025

Jamo has introduced the C707PA MKII active bookshelf speaker to the Australian market, appointing Audacity Australia as its sole distributor in the region.

The C707PA MKII, the first release in Jamo's new C700 active speaker series, is designed for desktop and compact stereo living scenarios. Developed with a focus on hybrid workspaces, entertainment setups, and home gaming environments, the speaker aims to provide a high-quality audio solution that is adaptable to diverse contemporary interiors.

The new model maintains Jamo's emphasis on combining minimalist styling with acoustic performance. The C707PA MKII presents a compact form featuring smooth contours to blend seamlessly into various settings. Powering the unit is a 65W x 2 D-Class amplifier, working in conjunction with a two-way bass-reflex system crafted for detailed bass and high-frequency accuracy.

New distributor and C-series launch

Audacity Australia, recently confirmed as Jamo's exclusive distributor in the country, will spearhead the rollout of the C-series, beginning with the C707PA MKII. The companies also anticipate revealing further models in the C700 series over the coming months. Alongside active speakers, Audacity Australia's new distribution line-up will include Jamo's CI (custom installation) range, encompassing in-ceiling and in-wall speakers designed for both home and commercial purposes, as well as home theatre and stereo loudspeakers.

"Jamo has a rich history, known for its acoustic purity and iconic Scandinavian design. We're thrilled to bring to Australia the latest chapter in that legacy with the new C707 Bookshelf speakers" said Boyd Dainton, Director of Audacity Australia.

Design and engineering highlights

The C707PA MKII is designed for listeners drawn to both its visual and acoustic attributes. The enclosure's understated aesthetic is intended to complement modern spaces, while the internal architecture centres on proprietary Jamo technologies for precise reproduction and control.

The integration of Hybrid Composition Conical Cone (HCCC) and Long Displacement Surround (LDS) technologies provides controlled damping and improved linearity, resulting in lower distortion and a more accurate transient response. The inclusion of an Anti-Diffraction WaveGuide (ADW) and Tweeter Distortion Reduction (TDR) is designed to foster natural treble output and broaden the sweet spot for the listener.

Jamo's recognisable aluminium phase plug is retained for enhanced upper-frequency clarity and greater power handling. The speaker is equipped with a three-band EQ (low, mid, and high), allowing users to fine-tune the sound and adapt it to specific room characteristics.

Comprehensive connectivity

Targeting flexibility in system integration, the C707PA MKII offers an array of connectivity options. Inputs include Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX and aptX HD support for high-quality streaming, HDMI TV ARC for television set-ups, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm jack, RCA (switchable between line and phono for use with turntables), and optical input. This connectivity suite enables the speaker to act as a central hub for hi-fi audio and video uses, from music playback to gaming and home entertainment.

The design enables users to seamlessly switch between digital and analogue sources, including streaming, TV, and vinyl records. This adaptability reflects the product's intention to suit both traditional and contemporary audio preferences.

Market offering and availability

The C707PA MKII is available in five finishes: black, white, yellow, khaki green, and blue. Jamo states that these colour options are selected to align with interior trends and to offer varied aesthetic choices for consumers. The speaker's recommended retail price is AUD $1,399.

The full Jamo range, including the new C707PA MKII, will be distributed throughout Australia by Audacity Australia to specialist audio retailers. The series is accompanied by an extensive product lineup, including both custom installation and standard home loudspeakers, catering to a broad customer base.

Jamo was founded in Denmark in 1968 and is recognised for developing products that combine aesthetic considerations with high-fidelity sound.
