LG launches CineBeam S 4K projector in Australia at AUD $2,499
LG Electronics has confirmed the local introduction of the CineBeam S projector to the Australian market.
The CineBeam S will be priced at AUD $2,499, and will be accessible for purchase from 11 August, with a pre-order period offering a 20% discount running from 28 July to 10 August for early buyers.

According to LG, the CineBeam S is its smallest 4K Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector to date, combining picture quality, compact dimensions, and functionality. The projector is designed for home settings where space is limited, offering image projection from 40 inches up to 100 inches. Its short throw capability allows the device to project a 40-inch image from a distance of 8.1cm and a 100-inch image from 39.3cm.
It features 4K Ultra HD resolution (3,840 x 2,160), a 500 ANSI lumen brightness rating, a contrast ratio of 450,000:1, and a compact footprint measuring 110 x 160 x 160mm. The device weighs 1.9kg, and incorporates an RGB laser light source and auto screen adjustment technology to assist with user setup.

Design and user features
The product is aimed at consumers seeking an uncomplicated, integrated home cinema setup. Automated features include auto screen adjustment, wall colour adjustment and screen scaling. These settings allow the projector to automatically configure based on its environment. LG has also highlighted a minimalist external design intended to blend into contemporary interiors.
The on-board stereo sound system supports Dolby Atmos and is intended to deliver audio suitable for home entertainment without the need for additional hardware.
Smart platform integration
The LG CineBeam S is powered by the WebOS smart TV platform, providing access to streaming platforms such as Netflix, Binge, and over one hundred LG Channels. The projector can function independently, without the need for laptops or external streaming devices, and offers compatibility with Android and iOS devices as well as HDMI and USB Type-C input options.
