Logitech expands Mac lineup with new MX keyboards & mouse

Logitech has unveiled an expanded lineup in its Designed-for-Mac portfolio, aimed at providing seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem. The new collection includes the latest MX series and ergonomic input devices, with the objective of enhancing the productivity and comfort of Mac users.

Delphine Donn, Vice President and General Manager of Personal Workspace Solutions at Logitech, highlighted the company's commitment to innovative, user-centric solutions that harmonise with the Apple ecosystem. Donn emphasised that the aim is to optimise workflow, productivity, and comfort, without compromising on Mac compatibility or aesthetics.

The new MX for Mac lineup comprises MX Keys S for Mac, MX Keys S Combo for Mac, MX Anywhere 3S for Mac, MX Keys Mini for Mac in Space Gray, and the Ergo Wave Keys for Mac keyboard. These products are designed with dedicated macOS keyboard layouts and colours to complement Apple's device designs.

Each device in the new lineup addresses various user needs. The MX Keys S for Mac is described as the ultimate productivity keyboard, featuring precise typing, an updated Mac layout, and smarter illumination. Smart Actions in the accompanying Logi Options+ app aim to streamline workflows.

The MX Keys S Combo for Mac is Logitech's first MX combo designed for Mac. It includes the MX Keys S for Mac keyboard, the MX Master 3S for Mac mouse, and the MX Palm Rest. This set is geared towards enhancing the overall working experience.

The MX Anywhere 3S for Mac is a compact mouse engineered for ultra-fast scrolling, complete with quiet clicks and precise 8K resolution tracking on any surface. It strives to provide performance while maintaining quiet operation.

The MX Keys Mini for Mac is a minimalist keyboard optimised for Mac, now available in Space Gray. It promises fast, precise typing with smart illumination and customisation options that place every key and command at the user's fingertips.

The Ergo Wave Keys for Mac is Logitech’s first ergonomic keyboard developed specifically for Mac users, featuring a cushioned palm rest. Designed by the Logi Ergo Lab, it aims to provide day-long comfort and is a companion to the Lift for Mac.

Logitech also underscores its dedication to sustainability. The company aims to design each new generation of products with a smaller carbon footprint than its predecessors, incorporating Sustainable Design principles. This includes using Next Life recycled plastic instead of virgin plastic, thus enhancing circularity and reducing carbon footprint. Notably, up to 78% of the plastic parts in the new Logi for Mac portfolio comprise Next Life plastic.

The MX Series has transitioned fully to using post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR plastic), aligning with Logitech's sustainability targets. Donn provided specifics on the environmental impact, noting that the MX Keys S for Mac has achieved an 11% reduction in carbon footprint compared to its prior version. This reduction translates to 192t of CO2e avoided per 100,000 units, a saving equivalent to 20 complete journeys around the Earth.

The MX Keys S for Mac is priced at AUD $229.95, the MX Keys S Combo for Mac at AUD $399.95, the MX Anywhere 3S for Mac at AUD $139.95, the MX Keys Mini for Mac at AUD $179.95, and the Ergo Wave Keys for Mac at AUD $149.95. These products will be available from May 2024 through Logitech’s website and selected retailers. The Logi Options+ app can be downloaded for free from the company’s website.
