Logitech G offers 30-day refund on JB Hi-Fi mouse pre-orders

Fri, 30th Jan 2026

Logitech G has introduced a 30-day money-back guarantee for Australian customers who pre-order its PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse through JB Hi-Fi.

The company said the offer applies to JB Hi-Fi pre-orders placed between December 15th 2025 and 11:59pm AEDT February 23rd 2026. Customers can return the mouse to any JB Hi-Fi retail store in Australia if they are not satisfied for any reason. The guarantee runs for up to 30 days from the date of purchase or the delivery date at launch, whichever is later.

Logitech G said the policy represents a first for gaming products sold at JB Hi-Fi at the pre-order stage. The company framed the move as a change from common practice in the category, where pre-orders often carry stricter return conditions than standard purchases.

"This announcement is a milestone moment for Logitech G, reflecting our complete confidence and enthusiasm for this revolutionary mouse. It demonstrates our willingness to try something new, back our innovations, and push boundaries in the category," said Daniel Hall, Senior Category Manager, Logitech G ANZ.

Product launch

Logitech G has positioned the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE as a new addition to its PRO line. The company has targeted the product at competitive players and professional esports athletes. Logitech G first revealed PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE at the Logitech G Play event last year.

The company said the mouse uses SUPERSTRIKE technology. Logitech G described this as a combination of inductive analog sensing and real-time haptic feedback. It said the design changes the way clicks register compared with more conventional gaming mice.

Logitech G said the mouse replaces traditional microswitches in the main buttons with what it calls the Haptic Inductive Trigger System, or HITS. The company said HITS combines adjustable actuation and rapid trigger functions with haptic feedback. Logitech G said these changes reduce click latency and increase customisation options compared with existing designs.

Hall linked the return offer to the technology claims made for the new mouse.

"We're putting our money where our mouth is. If HITS doesn't change the way you play, we'll give you your money back," said Hall.

Refund rules

Logitech G set out conditions that customers must meet to qualify for a refund. Customers must provide valid proof of purchase. They must return the product with all original packaging and accessories.

The company said this includes the original box, manuals or documentation, and all accessories included with the mouse.

Logitech G also noted exclusions. It said delivery costs for products purchased online are not eligible under the guarantee. It also said delivery costs for any other products purchased in the same transaction are not eligible.

Retail implications

Money-back guarantees on pre-ordered gaming hardware remain relatively uncommon in Australia, particularly for higher-volume consumer electronics sold through major chains. Retailers often rely on manufacturer warranties for faults rather than broad satisfaction-based return policies once an item has been opened and used.

Logitech G's decision places the return process with JB Hi-Fi stores, rather than through a direct manufacturer channel. That approach may reduce friction for customers who prefer in-store returns. It also creates a test for how pre-order incentives translate into in-store return volumes for a high-profile launch.

The offer also raises questions about whether similar policies emerge for other gaming peripherals at JB Hi-Fi. Logitech G did not indicate whether the arrangement would extend beyond this product or apply to other retailers.

Logitech G has not disclosed Australian pricing for the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE in the announcement, and it has not provided expected pre-order volumes. It also did not specify how it will handle returns for customers who pre-ordered online for delivery and then choose to return the mouse in-store.

JB Hi-Fi continues to play a central role in the Australian gaming hardware market, with strong floor space allocation to console accessories, PC components, and peripherals. The retailer runs frequent pre-order campaigns across games and hardware. Logitech G's guarantee creates a new structure for pre-orders in at least one part of that category.

"We're putting our money where our mouth is. If HITS doesn't change the way you play, we'll give you your money back," said Hall.
