ROLL'N launches affordable electric mopeds in Australia from AUD $4,350
A new electric moped brand has entered the Australian transport market, offering a fully electric, road-registered option for urban and coastal mobility. ROLL'N, which is Australian-owned, has launched two models aimed at consumers seeking affordable and sustainable alternatives to petrol-powered vehicles.
Sustainable transport
ROLL'N mopeds operate with zero emissions and require less maintenance than conventional petrol mopeds. The brand aims to meet rising demand for environmentally-conscious transport. As all models use removable slimline lithium batteries, users can charge their vehicles with standard household outlets. A full charge can be reached in as little as two hours, and models can travel up to 130km on dual batteries. The mopeds do not require petrol refuelling, oil changes, spark plug replacements, or regular engine tuning.
Model features
The company has introduced two moped models, Cruise and Freedom. Each features selectable speeds of 50km/h and 80km/h, targeting city commuters and those travelling in coastal regions. Both models come with dual slide-out battery packs, 12-inch wheels, and hydraulic disc brakes. A combined braking system and three-stage hydraumatic suspension are included for safety and comfort.
Market position
ROLL'N mopeds start at AUD $4,350, positioning them as one of the more accessible electric vehicle options available in Australia. The company is promoting its products as practical alternatives for a variety of users, including commuters, students, hospitality workers, and recreational riders. Seven colour options allow buyers to personalise their vehicles, and the compact frame suits urban and high-density settings where parking is a challenge.
Consumer appeal
The design targets a broad market segment that values both style and environmental impact. With their retro-inspired form, ROLL'N mopeds are presented as an option for riders heading to work, the beach, or running local errands. Fast charging and the ability to remove batteries for charging at home or work adds convenience for users with busy schedules or limited access to charging infrastructure.
Leadership perspective
"We created ROLL'N to give Australians a fun, accessible way to move-something sustainable that doesn't sacrifice style or freedom. There's nothing like the feeling of being out in the fresh air on a summer ride. We're excited to bring that to the streets," said Jason Heald, Founder, ROLL'N.
