Samsung Australia has announced the introduction of its latest range of Bespoke AI Home Appliances, including the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra cordless stick vacuum and new screen-enabled refrigerators.
The new Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is described by Samsung as the most powerful cordless stick vacuum cleaner in the world, with up to 400W of suction power. It utilises a HexaJet Motor, featuring a hexagon stator structure, a second-stage diffuser, and an impeller with reduced thickness to improve airflow and motor efficiency. According to the company, this allows the vacuum to produce 400W of suction power and run for up to 100 minutes on one battery when operating in Min mode.
The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra introduces AI Cleaning Mode 2.0, which senses brush load and vacuuming air pressure to classify up to six different cleaning environments. Based on the detected environment, the device can automatically adjust its suction power and brush speed to optimise cleaning performance. When the Active Dual Brush is used, its soft roller picks up large dust particles on the floor, while nylon and rubber bristles aim to improve carpet cleaning. The Slim LED Brush+ supports corner detection, enabling the vacuum to sense corners and adjust its settings for effective cleaning.
For air filtration, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is equipped with a Multi-layered Filtration system, including HEPA filtration. This system is designed to trap fine dust particles and achieve a filtration efficiency of up to 99.999%, capturing dust as small as 0.3μm before air is expelled from the vacuum. Samsung states that compared to non-HEPA models, this filtration system allows less dust to escape into the air.
The 2025 product lineup also features new refrigeration options. The 615L AI Home Side-by-Side Refrigerator includes a 9-inch AI Home screen that permits users to manage smart devices, access applications, and receive personalised information. The refrigerator features an Auto Open Door for hands-free access, organisation tools, Bixby voice control, and real-time energy consumption monitoring through SmartThings Energy. Through Bixby, users can control appliance settings and select functions by voice, as well as ask questions.
Samsung has also launched the 809L Bespoke AI Family Hub+ French Door Refrigerator, equipped with a 32-inch screen intended to act as a smart home hub. The AI Vision Inside feature harnesses an internal camera and AI-based recognition to identify up to 33 different food items placed in or removed from the refrigerator, offering support for food management and personalised meal recommendations. This model enables control of connected appliances via Map View, includes energy tracking through SmartThings Energy, and offers Bixby voice recognition to deliver assistance tailored to individual family members.
Families can use the Daily Board feature to display real-time updates, schedules, and daily energy reports, as well as share memories using a dedicated gallery and digital calendar. Entertainment features include Spotify integration, SmartView Mirroring for sharing screens from smartphones or Samsung TVs, and a photo gallery for kitchen personalisation.
Samsung reports that the adoption of the AI Home display makes it easier for users to access the full functionality of Bespoke AI appliances. The display serves as a control hub and enables connection to compatible third-party devices through SmartThings, without requiring a separate hub device. Features such as Daily Board and Map View are available for enhanced device management and daily organisation.
The upgraded Bixby voice assistant allows for simplified appliance control, enhanced by Voice ID, which can recognise a user's voice, switching to the relevant Samsung account and displaying the user's calendar. Accessibility is supported by syncing low vision options from Galaxy smartphones to the AI Home display.
Samsung has introduced new SmartThings services, including Family Care, which sends alerts to family members if it detects unusual inactivity. Users can also employ their robot vacuum cleaner to check for possible emergencies. All services are secured using Samsung Knox. Jeong Seung Moon, Executive Vice President and Head of the R&D Team for Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, commented on the company's approach: "Through our Bespoke AI appliances, Samsung has brought an AI Home to life that not only enhances everyday convenience but also enables energy savings and care. We will continue to expand the advanced AI Home to more households, leveraging smart screens, Bixby and Knox security."
According to Samsung, enhanced Knox security, including the Trust Chain dashboard and the application of Knox Vault hardware security, will be rolled out across all Wi-Fi enabled devices in the 2025 line up. This allows users to monitor product security status in real time and store sensitive information, such as passwords and authentication data, in a separated hardware chip.
The 2025 Bespoke AI Home Appliances range will be available through major retailers and Samsung's own channels, with pricing starting from AUD $6,999 for the Family Hub+ French Door Refrigerator, AUD $3,299 for the AI Home Side-by-Side Refrigerator, and AUD $1,699 for the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra Stick Vacuum.
