Sandisk unveils new Creator & WD_BLACK storage ahead of holidays

Sandisk has introduced a range of storage products in time for the holiday season, targeting the needs of content creators, gamers, and those looking to capture their festive moments securely. The new offerings are available through local retailers and aim to provide solutions for a wide range of consumer technology preferences.

Creator focus

The new Sandisk Creator Series provides several options designed for content creators. The Creator Phone SSD attaches directly to MagSafe-compatible smartphones and enables creators to capture 4K video at 60 frames per second in the Apple ProRes format. The device saves video content directly to the SSD, allowing for immediate access to editing workflows.

For those using cameras, the Creator SD UHS-II Card and Creator microSD Card both focus on high-speed, reliable storage for professional-grade images and video. The Creator microSD Card offers capacities up to 1TB, supporting 4K and 5.3K video recording, reducing concerns about running out of storage during shoots.

Gaming options

Sandisk has expanded its WD_BLACK range, providing solutions for gaming across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms. The WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD for PC incorporates a low-power design aimed at maintaining system performance and reliability for desktop gamers. PlayStation 5 users are supported by the WD_BLACK SN850P NVMe SSD, available in sizes up to 8TB to store more titles on the console.

For Xbox users, the WD_BLACK C50 Storage Expansion Card adds up to 2TB of additional storage. The device leverages NVMe SSD technology, facilitating fast load times and enabling features such as quick switching between games with Quick Resume functionality.

Adventurous users

For users taking their devices outdoors or needing added durability, the Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD is billed as suitable for on-the-go usage. The device offers up to three-metre drop protection, and an IP65 rating for resistance against water and dust. Security is supported with password protection and 256-bit AES hardware encryption.
