Segway unveils new line of high-tech eKickScooters

Fri, 7th Mar 2025

Segway has launched its third-generation eKickScooters, unveiling four new models that range from entry-level commuters to high-performance superscooters.

Segway has introduced the GT3, Max G3, F3 Pro, and F3 scooters, combining advanced technology with safety features. According to Gino Casha, Head of Segway Australia, "Our third-generation models bring together the very best Segway features from our impressive smart technology and safety features to our premium user-friendly design." Casha added, "With more Australians looking for electric transport options our next generation of eKickScooters offer high-quality design and smart features that will cater to all, whether it's for the commute to work or adventuring."

The new scooters feature technology such as AirLock hands-free proximity unlocking, SegRide stability enhancement geometry, SegRange range optimisation technology, Segway Dynamic Traction Control, Segway Anti-Lock Braking System, automatic headlights, a smart multi-function TFT display, and an improved battery management system. The upgraded Segway Mobility App, previously known as the Segway-Ninebot app, supports these enhancements.

The GT3 model, which replaces the GT1, can accelerate from 0 to 25 km/h in 2.4 seconds, reach speeds of up to 50 km/h, and travel 75 km on a single charge. This makes it suitable for city travel and off-road excursions. The model features cable-actuated disc brakes and dual front suspension complemented by a trailing-arm rear suspension. A 2.4-inch TFT display shows real-time information such as map navigation, speed, and ride statistics.

The Max G3, part of Segway's flagship G line, houses a 2000-watt motor and a 559Wh battery. It can reach 25km/h in 2.4 seconds and extends to a range of 80 km per charge. The Max G3 is fitted with dual hydraulic shock absorbers and the SegRide stability enhancement system for a smooth ride. It offers a fast charging time of 3.5 hours with Segway's Flash Charge technology. Its lighting system includes a 360-degree illumination with an automatic headlight.

The F3 and F3 Pro, belonging to Segway's Ninebot F Series, are designed for commuting, capable of reaching speeds of 25 km/h with a range of 70 km per charge. Both models have front hydraulic and rear elastomer suspension, a larger footboard, and Segway's stability enhancement.

Segway is the first brand globally to receive the Verified Micro Mobility Performance Mark (UL V Mark) for its eKickScooters from UL Solutions. The mark certifies independent testing for performance claims. The F3 Pro has been verified globally for range, energy consumption, and water resistance, while the F3 also includes these verifications. The Max G3 has additional verifications for acceleration and charge time.

Pre-orders for these scooters are now available. The GT3 is priced at USD $3,499, the Max G3 costs USD $1,899, the F3 Pro is priced at USD $1,699 with a bonus helmet, and the F3 at USD $1,399 with a bonus helmet. These introductory prices are in effect until April 7th.
