Sennheiser has introduced a new set of wireless headphones designed especially for keen gamers, although anyone who craves lag-free sound and 100-hour battery life may also take a shine to it.

Priced at AU$349.95 (NZ pricing has not been confirmed), the Sennheiser GSP 370 features the same closed acoustic design as the GSP 300, however it adds a little something more, with a low latency connection and an integrated, rechargeable battery designed for gamers.

The headset also comes with the Sennheiser Gaming Suite for Windows 10, which gives users the option to tweak sound through surround sound options, an equaliser, microphone settings, and presets for common genres and occasions.

Sennheiser say the headset also features integrated digital sound processing, which means there’s more bass and acoustic clarity. What’s more, Sennheiser designed the headset for comfort (which is important if you’re gaming or listening to audio for long periods).

Sennheiser says, “The split, padded headband reduces pressure on the skull while memory foam ear cushions provide a comfortable fit and isolate ambient noise. A clever ball-joint hinge automatically angles the ear cups to suit the shape of your face, while the ear cups themselves are shaped and angled to perfectly fit around the human ear. This makes the headset comfortable to use even during extended gaming sessions.”

The headset features a ‘broadcast quality’ noise-cancelling microphone that minimises background noise. To mute the mic, users just need to lift the boom arm. Volume is synchronised with Windows volume control, and there’s also an integrated volume wheel on the ear cup.

With up to 100 hours battery life, Sennheiser has even done the maths: “Gamers who play six hours a week on average can game for four months with this wireless headset before having to recharge.”

The GSP 370 is charged over micro-USB (cable included in the box) and can be used while charging.

"With the GSP 370, we are adding another wireless gaming headset to our portfolio that not only features our highly praised low-latency connection, but also provides an impressive battery life,” says Sennheiser director of product management gaming, Andreas Jessen.

“All this is rounded off with the typical Sennheiser virtues: high wearing comfort, premium craftsmanship and an exceptional audio experience.”

The Sennheiser GSP 370 is now available in Australia at a recommended retail price of AU $349.95.

Those who purchase the GSP 370 from the Sennheiser website will also receive the GSA 50 headset hanger (value: AU $54.95) free of charge.
