Sony expands INZONE gaming line with Fnatic-designed PC gear

Wed, 20th Aug 2025

Sony has announced an expansion of its INZONE gaming gear range, with a new suite of products aimed at PC gamers.

The fresh line-up includes the INZONE H9 II wireless headset, INZONE E9 in-ear headphones, the KBD-H75 gaming keyboard, Mouse-A gaming mouse, and two mousepads - INZONE Mat-D and Mat-F. Each product has been developed in collaboration with esports organisation Fnatic, with input from professional players intended to refine the gear's suitability for first-person shooter (FPS) games.

According to Sony, the INZONE H9 II has been designed as the flagship headset of the range. It is engineered for high sound quality and noise cancellation, featuring a lightweight design at 260g and a detachable, highly directional cardioid boom microphone. Key components, from the driver unit to the placement of controls and LED indicators, were shaped by feedback from Fnatic's players.

"From tournament-grade audio, fit, mic quality, placement of buttons and LED - every detail was shaped by Fnatic's feedback to deliver elite performance with the H9 II."

The H9 II is based on the same driver technology as Sony's own WH-1000XM6 headphones and is designed to provide clarity across a range of sounds, from distant footsteps to bass-heavy rumbles. Its microphone features AI-powered noise filtering, prioritising voice capture while suppressing ambient noise. The headset also includes a USB-C dongle for a dedicated, ultra-low-latency 2.4GHz connection, and it can simultaneously connect via LE Audio and Bluetooth to a smartphone. The battery is rated for up to 30 hours, and a soft pouch is supplied for protection and storage.

The INZONE E9 in-ear headphones are also joining the range. As compact wired in-ear headphones, the E9 is designed to minimise ear pressure and optimise comfort with interchangeable tips, including noise-isolating foam and hybrid silicone. These earphones feature what Sony describes as its first fully enclosed structure, combining a sealed body with the noise-isolation tips to achieve passive noise reduction.

The E9 model was developed with Fnatic's input for tuning, emphasising the detection of in-game sound cues, which the company says allows players to perceive footsteps and other crucial audio details. It has also been approved for use at the Apex Legends Global Series Year 5 Championship.

New to the INZONE line is the KBD-H75 gaming keyboard, Sony's debut in this segment. The keyboard offers a 'rapid trigger' mechanism, which allows the toggling of key inputs without returning fully to their rest position. Combined with an 8000Hz polling rate, Sony indicates the keyboard is built for swift responses in FPS titles. The layout is 75% standard width without key isolation, which aims to provide a more compact design. A machined aluminium chassis supports long-term durability, and a customisable dial covers assignments like volume control while freeing space for mouse movements.

Also announced is the INZONE Mouse-A wireless gaming mouse. It weighs 48.4g and uses a reinforced shell made with hollow glass microspheres for weight reduction and rigidity. The mouse is fitted with a custom sensor unique to INZONE, offering sensitivity up to 30K DPI, acceleration up to 70G, and a maximum speed of 750 IPS, along with an 8000Hz polling rate. The design and tactility of Mouse-A have been iteratively refined with hands-on feedback from Fnatic players.

Battery life for Mouse-A is up to 90 hours, and its optical switches transmit signals using light rather than direct contact, which Sony says enhances speed and longevity.

For mousepads, two models are being introduced. The INZONE Mat-F features a 6mm thick SlimFlex material and textured fabric for friction, which Sony says supports controlled aiming, beneficial to low sensitivity users. The INZONE Mat-D, at 4mm thickness, is intended for a smooth glide with low friction, catering to users who prefer high sensitivity and quick, constant movement. Both pads use anti-fray stitching designed to sit below the surface to avoid interference during use. The development of both was based on feedback from Fnatic professionals, with speed, precision, and stability in mind.

The INZONE H3 wired gaming headset also now comes in a black colour option, expanding beyond the previously available white version.

Alongside the product rollout, Sony has confirmed that it will bring the INZONE range to the PAX AUS 2025 event, providing an interactive booth experience with product testing, demonstrations, competitions, and exclusive prizes. Julien Goyet, Business Unit Head Video & Sound, commented on the decision to participate in the event:

"We're excited to connect with the gaming community at PAX AUS and show gamers what INZONE is all about," – Julien Goyet - Business Unit Head Video & Sound. "Our focus is to empower gamers at every level with gear that delivers performance, reliability, style and of course, is Designed to Win!"
