Sony has expanded its INZONE gaming accessories range with the INZONE H6 Air headset and new colour variants for several existing products.

The update includes a translucent Glass Purple version of the INZONE Buds earbuds and Fnatic Editions of the INZONE Mouse-A, INZONE Mat-F and INZONE Mat-D. The products will be available in Australia from April 2026.

The INZONE H6 Air is an open-back headset aimed at players seeking a more spacious audio presentation. It uses custom drivers and back ducts integrated into the driver unit to deliver bass response while keeping mid and low frequencies separate.

Its open-back acoustic design leaves the housing unobstructed to reduce internal reflections, aiming to reproduce sound fields as intended by game developers.

Sony has also adapted technology from its MDR-MV1 open-back studio monitor headphones for the headset. The INZONE H6 Air weighs 199g without its detachable microphone and cable, making it the lightest gaming headset in the company's line-up.

The headset uses the same spring-hinge headband design as the INZONE H9 II, intended to keep the unit compact without compromising comfort or stability during longer gaming sessions.

It also includes an equaliser setting developed with sound designers from PlayStation Studios at Sony Interactive Entertainment. Called the RPG/Adventure profile, it is designed for role-playing and adventure titles and can be accessed through INZONE Hub when connected via the supplied USB-C Audio Box.

The Audio Box also provides virtual 7.1-channel surround sound with 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming. The headset includes an adjustable cardioid boom microphone positioned to focus on the user's voice and reduce side noise.

New Variants

Alongside the headset, Sony is releasing a new Glass Purple finish for the INZONE Buds. The earbuds are already sold in black and white, with the new version adding a third colour option.

The Fnatic Editions extend Sony's collaboration with the esports brand into its accessory line-up. The orange-themed products include the INZONE Mouse-A, INZONE Mat-F mousepad and INZONE Mat-D mousepad.

The Mat-F design takes inspiration from Fnatic and its Valorant team, while the Mat-D uses a black-to-orange gradient. The announcement does not indicate any hardware changes beyond the new finishes.

Pricing

In Australia, the INZONE H6 Air is priced at AUD $299.95, while the INZONE Buds in Glass Purple will cost AUD $349.95.

The Fnatic Edition INZONE Mouse-A will sell for AUD $289.95. The INZONE Mat-F is priced at AUD $139.95 and the INZONE Mat-D at AUD $84.95.

The launch adds to competition in the gaming audio and accessory market, where manufacturers have expanded beyond consoles and PCs into branded peripherals and custom editions linked to esports teams and player communities. Open-back designs remain less common in gaming headsets than closed-back models, giving Sony a more distinct position in that segment.

The INZONE H6 Air was developed with an emphasis on open-back acoustics, low weight and voice communication, while the broader refresh focuses on new finishes for existing products.
