Ultimate Ears launches MINIROLL portable speaker

Ultimate Ears has announced the release of the MINIROLL, an ultra-light portable speaker designed for on-the-go use.

The MINIROLL is the latest addition to Ultimate Ears' Bluetooth speaker line, featuring a silicone strap for easy attachment to various objects such as bikes, boats, and bags. This speaker is tailored for users who desire a seamless audio experience across different activities due to its compact size, lightweight construction, and aesthetic inspired by river rocks.

Jonah Staw, General Manager of Ultimate Ears, remarked on the consumer-driven motivation behind the product: "MINIROLL started with a consumer ask. We heard our fans loud and clear: they wanted a speaker that could strap in and go anywhere to keep up with their active lifestyles. This led our design and engineering teams to build our most portable speaker, showing how passionate consumers can drive innovation."

The MINIROLL inherits design elements from the earlier UE ROLL, which was introduced in 2015 and became popular for its unique flat shape and handy strap. Though smaller, the MINIROLL maintains the updated strap feature, preserving the spirit of prior models.

Weighing only 279grams, the MINIROLL is designed for ease of transport. It boasts an IP67 rating, making it resistant to water, dust, and drops, thus suitable for both adventurous and leisurely pursuits.

Featuring advanced audio technology like custom drivers, bass radiators, and detailed EQ tuning, the MINIROLL ensures high-quality sound performance outdoors. Its Auracast technology allows for pairing an unlimited number of MINIROLL speakers to enhance the audio experience, which can be ideal for gatherings. The speaker offers a 40-metre Bluetooth range, up to 12 hours of battery life, and quick charging via a USB-C port.

The MINIROLL is constructed with sustainability in mind, utilising 100% post-consumer recycled polyester fabric and at least 40% post-consumer recycled plastic components. The packaging derives from FSC-certified and other controlled sources.

The Ultimate Ears MINIROLL is available for pre-order now. Colour options include black, blue, grey, and pink. It will be available for purchase from major online and physical retailers after the pre-order period concludes on 4 October 2024.
