Hisense unveils M2 Pro Laser Mini Projector in Australia at AUD $2,499

Yesterday

Hisense has introduced the M2 Pro Laser Mini Projector to the Australian market, a device designed to deliver home cinema experiences with features focused on performance and portability.

The M2 Pro Laser Mini Projector utilises Pure Triple Colour Laser technology and is equipped with a range of features intended to improve both the visual and audio experience for users. Among its technical specifications is the ability to project images at sizes from 65 to 200 inches, which can be adjusted to suit different environments and requirements.

Chris Kotis, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Hisense, commented on the company's approach:

"The M2 Pro serves as another proof point in our leadership in the laser category, pioneering more ways to make premium laser technology accessible. We are excited to continue expanding the laser range with the M2 Pro, which joins our C2 Family of laser mini-projectors in offering Australians more ways to enjoy cinema-grade entertainment at home."

The M2 Pro integrates an advanced AI 4K Clarity system. This includes features such as AI 4K Upscaler, AI Noise Reduction, and AI HDR Upscaler, which aim to provide sharply detailed images. With a digital light processing (DLP) system that uses 2.07 million micro mirrors, the projector is able to display 4K visuals up to 200 inches in size with clarity at the pixel level.

The Pure Triple Colour Laser technology is designed to enhance colour accuracy and vibrancy, providing lifelike colours according to the manufacturer. The projector's optical zoom supports a throw ratio between 1.0 and 1.3, which means the device can maintain its 4K sharpness from various distances.

The device runs on the VIDAA Smart operating system, which allows users to access streaming platforms such as Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+ using a voice remote for navigation. In addition to this functionality, the M2 Pro supports Dolby Vision and other HDR formats, as well as AI Dynamic Contrast, aiming to highlight nuanced details whether watching films or gaming.

Another aspect of the projector involves its automated set up features. The device is geared towards simplicity with automatic keystone correction and auto focus, which means the projected image is adjusted for sharpness and alignment without the need for manual calibration by the user. There is also intelligent wall colour adaptation, designed to keep colours vivid and accurate even when projecting onto surfaces that are not traditional projection screens or white walls.

Audio quality is another area addressed by the M2 Pro, with integrated Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X technologies. According to Hisense, these features allow for a cinematic audio experience without the need to connect external speakers.

Blending portability with performance, the device is pitched as being suitable for use both at home and on the move, with the intention of providing a consistent viewing and audio experience across a range of settings.

The M2 Pro Laser Mini Projector is available for purchase online and through selected Australian retailers, with a recommended retail price of AUD $2,499. Feature availability may vary depending on the region.
