Acer has launched the Nitro V series, a range of entry-level gaming laptops designed to enrich AI-powered gaming experiences for users such as students, content creators, and essential gamers.

The Nitro V AI gaming laptops are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processors based on the new "Zen 5" architecture. These models are tailored to offer enhanced local AI capabilities, optimised for reduced power consumption, and promise good battery life alongside improved responsiveness for gaming and creative tasks. The devices are integrated with an NPU, delivering up to 50 AI TOPS of processing for generative AI experiences, including features suitable for applications like Cocreator in Paint.

The Nitro V AI models' graphics are supported by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPUs, which integrate the latest NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 technologies. These technologies offer lifelike virtual scenes with ray-tracing capabilities. The laptops can feature up to 32 GB of memory and 2 TB of storage, ensuring efficient handling of demanding applications.

The Nitro V 16 AI (ANV16-61) includes a WQXGA (2560 x 1600) display that supports a refresh rate of up to 180 Hz and full sRGB coverage.

Acer's Nitro V 15 series, another significant product in its latest lineup, employs the Intel Core 7 processor 240H with specialised AI acceleration features. The 15.6-inch display has an FHD (1920x1080) resolution, a 180 Hz refresh rate, a 3 ms response time, and full sRGB colour coverage for vibrant visuals.

The laptops also have NitroSense, a performance management feature, and NitroSense 5.0, its updated version, which controls the machine's performance and customisations. Acer PurifiedVoice technology leverages AI to minimise ambient noise, while Acer PurifiedView ensures user engagement is maintained at the forefront of any activity.

Acer's latest devices offer configurations suited to different needs and have been released with a three-month subscription to PC Game Pass. This service provides users access to top titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and others from EA Play on day one. The new Nitro V models, including the Nitro V 16 AI and Nitro V 15, will be available in Australia in the second quarter of 2025.
