Anker unveils ultra-fast Solix power stations in Australia

Fri, 27th Feb 2026

Anker Solix is bringing two new portable power stations to Australia, adding faster charging and a smaller design as battery-based alternatives to petrol generators gain more attention from campers, tradespeople and households preparing for outages.

The Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 and C2000 Gen 2 go on sale through selected retailers and online channels from 12 March. An early-bird registration period is now open ahead of the retail rollout, offering discounted pricing and bundled accessories for registered customers.

The launch focuses on charging speed. Anker Solix says the C1000 Gen 2 holds a Guinness World Record for reaching a full charge in 49 minutes. The C2000 Gen 2 reaches 100% in 58 minutes using combined AC and solar input, according to the company.

Smaller units

Both products emphasise portability. The C1000 Gen 2 weighs 11.3kg and has a 1,024Wh capacity. Anker Solix says it is 14% smaller and 11% lighter than comparable models.

The C2000 Gen 2 weighs 18.9kg and has a 2,048Wh capacity. It is positioned as 29% smaller and 25% lighter than other 2kWh portable power stations.

Anker Solix describes the design as using a cell-to-chassis approach, but did not explain how the architecture changes the internal layout or serviceability.

Output and expansion

The C1000 Gen 2 delivers 2,000W of continuous AC output and 3,000W peak power. The C2000 Gen 2 provides 2,400W continuous output and 4,000W peak power. Each unit has four AC outlets.

Both models also include USB ports for device charging: two 140W USB-C ports, a 15W USB-C port and a 12W USB-A port. They also include a 120W car cigarette output.

Anker Solix says the range can run "99% of appliances", citing refrigerators, medical devices, power tools and air conditioners. Actual run time depends on load and battery capacity.

The larger unit supports expansion. The C2000 Gen 2 can add a battery to increase total capacity to 4kWh, Anker Solix says. The C1000 Gen 2 does not list an expansion option.

Charging options

Both products support multiple charging methods, including wall power, solar and vehicle alternator charging while driving. The C1000 Gen 2 lists 600W of solar input, while the C2000 Gen 2 lists 800W.

Anker Solix is also emphasising quieter operation than fuel-powered generators. The C1000 Gen 2 is rated at 20dB under a 200W load, while the C2000 Gen 2 is rated below 30dB at a 1,000W load, according to the company.

Both models include a UPS mode with a 10ms switchover time, according to the specifications. This targets uses where appliances such as fridges and some medical devices need a rapid transition during a grid outage. Anker Solix also says the units use LFP batteries rated for up to 10 years of use.

Local marketing

The launch includes a sports partnership. Anker Solix has signed an official partnership with Hawthorn Football Club, timed with the early-bird pre-registration period. Registered customers who purchase during the initial launch window will be entered into a Hawthorn lucky draw, with prizes including signed merchandise and match tickets.

Consumer electronics brands have increasingly used sports tie-ups to build awareness in crowded retail categories. In portable power, the target market spans recreational users and tradies, as well as households seeking backup power after severe weather.

Australia has seen a growing range of battery power stations sold through retailers and online marketplaces. The category spans smaller models for device charging through to higher-capacity units that can run appliances during short outages, alongside rooftop solar and home battery systems.

"Power outages and off-grid travel aren't edge cases in Australia but instead they're part of everyday life for a lot of households," said Symons Xie, GM of Anker SOLIX APAC.

"Whether it's storm-related blackouts, working on regional sites or heading away for a few days, Australians want power that's quiet, reliable and ready to go. That's exactly what the C1000 Gen 2 and C2000 Gen 2 are designed for. They are fast to recharge, quiet enough to use anywhere, and ready when the grid isn't," said Xie.

Early-bird pricing starts at AUD $999 for the C1000 Gen 2 and AUD $1,799 for the C2000 Gen 2. Anker Solix says the first 50 C1000 Gen 2 purchasers will receive a 100W solar panel, while other registered C1000 Gen 2 customers will receive a carry bag. C2000 Gen 2 purchasers will receive an 800W alternator charger as part of the early offers, the company says.
