GravaStar V60 Pro Hall effect gaming keyboard hits Oz
GravaStar has launched its V60 Pro HE Magnetic Switch Gaming Keyboard in Australia, expanding its range of sci-fi-styled peripherals with a compact 60% model built around Hall effect sensing.
The V60 Pro uses GravaStar's new UFO Magnetic Switches, combining magnetic actuation with a mechanical-style keystroke feel. GravaStar says the switches improve control and consistency for gaming and general typing.
Hall Effect Switches
Hall effect keyboards measure key movement using sensors and magnets rather than traditional electrical contacts. Depending on the implementation, this can enable more granular detection of actuation and reset points.
GravaStar says the V60 Pro provides key detection within 0.001mm RT parameters. It also says updated Hall sensors in this generation cut noise by 70%, increase bandwidth response by 200%, and raise sensitivity by 50% compared with the previous generation.
Switch Design
At the centre of the keyboard is the UFO Magnetic Switch, which GravaStar describes as delivering smoother keystrokes and a deeper sound. The switch uses a closed-bottom housing, which GravaStar links to a more solid bottom-out feel and a muted tone.
The V60 Pro includes a 23mm spring design that GravaStar says reduces accidental inputs. It also says it has tightened manufacturing tolerances to reduce wobble while retaining a 3.5mm travel range.
Build and Layout
The V60 Pro uses a full aluminium alloy body and comes in Chrome Silver and Gunmetal finishes. GravaStar is also selling a Crystal Onyx colourway under the Mercury V60 Pro name used in its product description.
A 60% layout typically removes the function row, navigation cluster, and number pad found on larger keyboards. The form factor is common among competitive players and users with limited desk space, although it can require layered key combinations for some commands.
The keyboard includes full programmability, per-key RGB lighting, and a USB-C connection. It also has an onboard profile switch button for quick access to multiple saved configurations.
Positioning
GravaStar has built its brand around industrial, futuristic aesthetics across speakers, chargers, and gaming peripherals. The V60 Pro continues that approach with an aluminium chassis and a compact layout aimed at a cleaner desktop setup.
Magnetic-switch keyboards have gained attention in recent years as more manufacturers explore sensor-based input for competitive play and customisable actuation. Vendors have also promoted potential longevity benefits from contactless sensing, though real-world results can depend on build quality and firmware tuning.
GravaStar has not outlined local retail partners or availability windows in its announcement. However, it has published a recommended retail price and detailed the switch and sensor changes that set this model apart from the earlier generation.
The GravaStar Mercury V60 Pro Hall Effect Magnetic Switch Gaming Keyboard has a recommended retail price of AUD $399.99.
GravaStar plans to sell the V60 Pro in Silver, Gunmetal, and Crystal Onyx colourways.
