HP Australia launches AI-powered OmniBook Ultra Flip 14

Today

HP Australia has introduced its latest product, the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14, a next-generation AI-powered 2-in-1 laptop.

The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is equipped with an AI accelerator which can deliver up to 48 trillion operations per second (TOPS), making it a noteworthy upgrade from its predecessor, the HP OmniBook X. The device is adaptable with 360-degree hinge flexibility, allowing it to be used in various modes including laptop, tent, and tablet modes.

The device is crafted to meet diverse needs, offering personalised experiences through a range of in-built AI solutions. Among these solutions is a unique security chip designed to self-heal the PC's core from cyberattacks, enhancing user security. Additionally, the laptop includes a dedicated AI engine that is responsible for keeping the device cool and quiet while extending battery life to up to 20 hours per charge.

Rachael Williams, HP Head of Personal Systems ANZ, stated, "Increasingly, we are demanding personalised experiences, and this new laptop delivers by seamlessly adapting to our diverse environments—whether we're logging on from home or a café. It's not just about automating tasks; it's about understanding and catering to our unique needs, enhancing creativity and productivity in ways we never thought possible."

The HP Work Relationship Index further supports this notion, reporting that 66% of Australian knowledge workers find AI to be an asset in easing their professional tasks. Nearly two-thirds are tailoring AI use for improved productivity and creativity.

The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip features the HP AI Companion and Poly Camera Pro, tools designed to personalise user interactions by employing generative AI for enhanced productivity and collaboration. The AI Companion aids users in analysing files to obtain information efficiently, while the Poly Camera Pro adjusts webcam utilities using the NPU to enhance focus and maintain battery life.

The 3K OLED display of the OmniBook Ultra Flip aims to provide an immersive experience for users engaging in creative tasks such as drawing or reviewing designs. The laptop is engineered to balance power and performance effectively through its Intel Core Ultra processor.

For optimal security, the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip employs HP Wolf Security. It offers a self-healing PC core to protect against cyber threats and a McAfee Smart AI Deepfake Detector to identify AI-generated fraudulent audio.

The device is designed sustainably, integrating 90% recycled metals and 50% post-consumer recycled plastics. It carries EPEAT Gold certification and is acknowledged for Climate+ and ENERGY STAR compliance.

The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 Next-Gen AI PC is now available for purchase online and through major retailers, including JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman. Prices start at AUD $2,999.
