Midea has highlighted four kitchen appliances for winter cooking and cleaning in Australia, centred on compact household products for everyday meal preparation.

The line-up includes a 6L Multi Pressure Cooker, a 5L Induction Rice Cooker, a 45L Smart Inverter Microwave and a benchtop mini dishwasher, with retail prices ranging from AUD $149 to AUD $599.

The lowest-priced item is the 6L Multi Pressure Cooker at AUD $149. It has 12 preset cooking functions for dishes such as meat, broth, beans and oatmeal.

It also includes a 24-hour delay timer, a non-stick inner pot and safety features including a lid lock, pressure-limiting valve and overheat protection. The product is sold through Amazon.

Kitchen range

The 5L Induction Rice Cooker is priced at AUD $199 and available through Bing Lee, Electrical Discounters and Amazon. Designed for more than rice preparation, it also includes settings for porridge and steamed dishes.

According to the product details, the rice cooker has a 10-cup capacity and 10 preset menus. It also uses what Midea calls Omni-Dimensional IH Technology, a Turbo Convection Valve and a 2.0mm multi-layer inner pot.

The 45L Smart Inverter Microwave has a recommended retail price of AUD $239 and is positioned for households seeking faster cooking and reheating across a broad range of common meals.

Its listed features include Smart Inverter Technology, a humidity sensor, 10 power levels and preset options for foods including popcorn, pasta, rice, vegetables, potatoes and pizza. It is stocked by Bing Lee and Electrical Discounters.

Compact cleaning

The highest-priced product is the Midea Benchtop Mini Dishwasher at AUD $599, aimed at smaller homes, apartments, dormitory settings and other spaces where a compact dishwashing unit may be useful.

The dishwasher holds three place settings and includes a built-in 5L water tank, meaning it does not require plumbing. Midea also lists touchscreen controls, a 58-minute quick wash, a 77-minute self-clean cycle, a baby-care mode, fan drying and automatic door opening at the end of cycles.

Seasonal push

The product selection reflects a seasonal retail push around colder weather and more time spent cooking at home. The emphasis is on smaller appliances for meal preparation, reheating and clean-up rather than major whitegoods.

Midea presented the range as a mix of multi-function cooking devices and space-saving kitchen equipment, targeting households looking for practical appliances at relatively modest price points.

No sales figures or broader Australian market plans were disclosed alongside the product list. Instead, the announcement focused on feature sets, household use cases and retailer availability across online and in-store channels.

Midea said its products are designed to save time, be energy efficient and not break the bank.
