Samsung expands OLED TV range with new 83-inch models
Samsung Australia has introduced its largest range of OLED TVs, featuring 83-inch and 77-inch models, as part of its S95F, S90F, and new S85F series.
This expansion marks the first time Samsung includes an 83-inch display in its OLED lineup, particularly within the OLED S95F range. In a similar stride, the S85F range will join the existing family of OLED models, bolstering accessibility to larger screens among Australian consumers. These models will begin rolling out in Australian retail outlets next week, with subsequent availability of the S95F and S90F models.
The 83-inch and 77-inch OLED S95F models incorporate Samsung's new OLED Glare-free technology within a slim design. According to the company's statement, this technology has been tailored to meet Australian conditions, enhancing contrast, brightness, and depth in various lighting environments while reducing distractions.
Equipped with Samsung's AI-powered processor, the OLED S95F models offer advanced Vision AI features. These include enhancements in picture and sound quality through 4K AI Upscaling powered by 128 AI neural networks, Auto HDR Remastering Pro, Real Depth Enhancer Pro, and OLED Brightness Booster, which adjust visuals and audio in real time for an optimised viewing experience.
Simon Howe, Director of Audio Visual at Samsung Australia, stated, "Samsung has always been committed to providing a screen for every Australian experience and we are so pleased to have pushed the boundaries of innovation once more to provide the best of Samsung OLED technology in our biggest form factors across the range."
"Each year we see a growing number of Australians looking to upgrade their screen size, and with this trend comes the need to offer more big screen options across our wider TV range. Supported by Glare-free technology, encased in ultra-slim, minimalist designs, and packed with endless entertainment features; the large screen premium Samsung OLED S95F, immersive OLED S90F and accessible OLED S85F models aim to offer Australians more choice amongst the best of Samsung's big screen home experiences."
Additionally, all OLED S95F, S90F, and S85F range models are equipped with Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Adaptive Sound Pro, and AI Auto Game mode. These models also offer Pantone-Validated colour and OLED HDR technologies, ensuring a high level of performance suitable for varied content types, including streaming, gaming, and sports.
The OLED models boast integration with Samsung's One UI Tizen's Endless Entertainment platform, enhancing viewing and gaming experiences. With Samsung TV Plus, users can access a wide range of channels and on-demand content, while the Gaming Hub centralises game access for seamless play. These features are supported by SmartThings Smart Hub and Samsung Knox Security, offering secure, personalised, and connected entertainment experiences.
Samsung's OLED models for 2025 will have a 7-year OS upgrade plan, ensuring consumers receive ongoing updates to their displays. The pricing for the new models ranges from AUD $5,749 to AUD $11,499, with availability set for major retailers and Samsung's online store starting the following week.
