Samsung launches Jet 95S cordless vacuum in Australia

Fri, 20th Mar 2026

Samsung Australia has launched the Jet 95S cordless stick vacuum, expanding its vacuum range in Australia.

Priced at AUD $799, the Jet 95S is available through major retailers nationwide. Samsung says it delivers up to 280W of suction, 33% more than the Jet 95.

The launch coincides with new Samsung consumer research on household cleaning habits in Australia. In the survey, 38% of respondents said the time they spend on everyday chores has increased over the past year, while 73% said they are taking on more daily tasks because they believe a cleaner home supports mental wellness and reduces stress.

Another 48% said they clean several times a day or at least once a day to avoid a larger cleaning session on the weekend. Samsung refers to this pattern of frequent, smaller cleaning tasks as "chore snacking".

Rachel Carter, Head of Home Appliances at Samsung Australia, said the product was designed around those habits.

"The Jet 95S is designed to be a reliable household companion that is always at the ready for busy Australians to grab for a quick clean of the floor or a longer deep clean," Carter said.

She said the design is intended to make daily use simpler.

"Every design feature, from how light it is to hold and maneuver to the ability for it to pause when left idle, or automatically adjust to floor types, is to make everyday life easier for Australians," Carter said.

Cleaning modes

The Jet 95S includes two automated functions designed to reduce manual input during use. Smart Motion Cleaning mode pauses the vacuum when it detects it has been set down or left idle, then restarts it when picked up again within a minute.

Smart Boost mode adjusts suction when the machine detects carpet or similar surfaces. This function works with the Jet Dual brush+ attachment.

The vacuum also has a HEPA filtration system that Samsung says captures up to 99.99% of fine dust particles. The Jet Dual brush+ includes a built-in steel scraper designed to remove tangled hair from the brush as it operates.

Battery life

The unit offers up to 60 minutes of run time on a full charge under minimum power settings with a non-motorised tool attached. Its freestanding charging station stores attachments and recharges the battery in 3.5 hours.

In the box, the Jet 95S includes two brushes, four attachments, and a telescopic wand. Accessories include the Slim LED Brush, Pet Tool+, Combination Tool, Extension Crevice Tool, and Flexible Tool.

The Slim LED Brush has front lighting to help users clean under furniture and in darker areas. Samsung says the toolset is designed to handle narrow spaces, elevated surfaces, and a range of floor types.

Consumer shift

Samsung links the launch to a broader shift in cleaning routines that first became visible during the pandemic and has continued since. Carter said many households now prefer shorter cleaning sessions spread across the day or week rather than setting aside a longer block of time.

"Samsung noticed a behaviour shift during COVID lockdown whereby Australians started to undertake smaller chores throughout the day and over a week to avoid needing to do one big deep clean on the weekend. We referred to it as 'Chore Snacking'," Carter said.

She said that behaviour has remained common across many households.

"Five years on, while our routines have evolved and technology innovations have progressed to support faster paced lifestyles, almost half of Australians continue to chip away at chores like vacuuming daily. Their goal is to avoid doing one long and arduous deep clean on the weekend, freeing up that time to spend doing things they love with those they love," Carter said.

The Jet 95S enters a crowded cordless vacuum market, where brands are trying to stand out through battery life, suction performance, and convenience features. Samsung's latest model puts particular emphasis on automatic settings and quick access for short cleaning tasks around the home.

It is available now across Australia at an RRP of AUD $799.
