Tineco launches steam-powered FLOOR ONE S7 in Australia

Mon, 27th Oct 2025

Tineco has launched its FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam in Australia, introducing a new steam-powered floor care appliance featuring TÜV-certified hygiene standards.

The device uses super-heated 140°C steam to clean and disinfect floors, removing 99.9% of bacteria without the use of chemicals. The FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam targets the growing demand among Australians for more effective hygiene measures in domestic cleaning routines, particularly as consumer focus on wellness continues to intensify.

Steam cleaning and hygiene

The FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam incorporates Tineco's HyperStretch Technology, allowing the appliance to reach under low furniture with its 180° ultra-flat design, which compresses down to just 13 centimetres. The unit's swivel head is intended to enhance manoeuvrability, while triple-sided edge cleaning and a dual-block anti-tangle design aim to provide a comprehensive cleaning experience.

The device offers up to 80 minutes of runtime, which the company positions as suitable for busy households, particularly those with children and pets, where maintaining heightened hygiene is frequently a priority. An additional feature is Tineco's FlashDry post-use self-cleaning system, which heats fresh water to 85°C to flush the pipe and brush roller, followed by a five-minute drying phase that uses hot air to extract water, intended to reduce heat loss and increase efficiency.

Certifications and standards

The FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam has received TÜV certifications for bacteria elimination and pet-friendly cleaning. These independent certifications are intended to confirm the machine's hygiene performance and suitability for homes with animals.

Jade Tang, Tineco Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand, said the shift in Australian cleaning habits has been evident.

"Australians are more conscious than ever about the best way to clean their floors hygienically. We see consumers prioritising hygiene, health and convenience with a growing demand for steam-powered systems that deliver not just spotless floors, but the peace of mind that comes with knowing they're truly sanitised - all without the need for chemicals."

Tang added, "Steam cleaning is no longer a niche category - it's quickly becoming the standard for modern, health-driven home care. Tineco's innovations, including TÜV-certified hygiene standards and intelligent self-cleaning mechanisms, reflect how technology is meeting the evolving expectations of Australian households."

She continued, "It's not just about spotless floors anymore - it's about confidence, safety, and the reassurance that every clean is a hygienic one. Steam cleaning is emerging as the standout method for achieving a deeper, chemical-free clean and a top trend in floor cleaning as we head into 2026."

Technical details

The FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam includes a range of features beyond steam cleaning, such as 21kPa suction, a 45-degree swivel head, a repositioned clean water tank, and Tineco's proprietary technologies, including MHCBS and iLoop smart sensors. The device uses upgraded pouch cells for power and can operate in a lay-flat position, allowing users to clean under low-clearance furniture without lifting or moving heavy items.

The device's retail price is AUD $1,199, and it is available for pre-order at multiple electronics and appliance retailers, as well as the Tineco online store. For a limited time, buyers who purchase the FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam will be eligible to redeem a Tineco Go Mini Pet Hand Vacuum valued at AUD $199, subject to availability and terms. Customers acquiring the device through Harvey Norman will also receive a AUD $50 gift voucher, with both offers available for a limited period.

Background and market context

Steam cleaning methods have been used in industry and the home since the 19th century, first emerging as a solution for degreasing machinery before becoming popular in home environments. The recent growth in demand for steam cleaning is attributed to increasing public attention on home cleanliness and chemical-free sanitation.

Earlier this year, Tineco was recognised as the number one global leader in the household wet and dry floor cleaner category by research firm Euromonitor International. According to Euromonitor, Tineco now distributes products to more than 14 million homes across Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe, and Asia, with its range sold in 450 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
