Viture launches Pro 2 XR glasses & dock in Australia

Viture has launched its Pro 2 XR glasses and Mobile Dock Mini in Australia, marking the company's fifth anniversary.
The Pro 2 is priced at AUD $499 and the Mobile Dock Mini at AUD $179. Both are available through Viture's Australian site and at JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman stores.
The launch brings Viture's latest XR glasses model to a market it sees as important for mobile gaming and video streaming. The company says the Pro 2 is its lightest and thinnest glasses model yet, weighing 63 grams and measuring 16% thinner than the original Pro.
The glasses are designed to create a private virtual display for gaming, streaming and work while travelling or commuting. Viture says the Pro 2 presents a 146-inch virtual screen using a Sony Micro-OLED display with 1,600 nits of brightness, up from 1,000 nits on the earlier Pro model.
The device also uses what Viture calls UltraClarity 3.0 optics, which it describes as the result of its fifth-generation optical engineering. According to the company, the system is designed to maintain image sharpness across the field of view and keep the image stable as the user's eyes move.
Other features include a 50-degree field of view, a 120Hz refresh rate, and twin diopter dials with independent adjustment from 0 to -5.00D for each eye. Viture says this means many short-sighted users may not need separate prescription inserts. The glasses also include three nose pads with seven adjustment positions and come with a lens shade.
According to Viture, the device has SGS Eye Care Certification for low blue light, flicker-free operation and low visual fatigue. The design changes are intended to improve comfort during longer periods of use.
Docking accessory
Alongside the glasses, Viture introduced the Mobile Dock Mini, a smaller version of its mobile docking system. The accessory is compatible with all Viture XR glasses models and comes with a dock, detachable adapter and magnetic mount.
Viture says the dock is 34% smaller and 30% lighter than the previous version. It includes a 10,000 mAh battery and can charge a phone, Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 while also supplying power to Viture glasses.
The accessory has two operating modes. In Hug Mode, the magnetic mount attaches to the back of a Nintendo Switch 2 and passes video through to the glasses while charging the console. In Solo Mode, the adapter can be detached so the unit functions as a compact USB-C hub.
Mario Zheng, Head of APAC & MEA, Viture ANZ, linked the launch to Australian demand for portable large-screen viewing.
"Australians are among the most enthusiastic gamers and streamers in the world, and they want a big-screen experience that fits into a small apartment, a daily commute or a long-haul flight," said Mario Zheng, Head of APAC & MEA, Viture ANZ.
Zheng also addressed the design of the new glasses and the role of the dock.
"The Pro 2 is the first pair of glasses we've made that you can forget you're wearing, and with the Mobile Dock Mini, a Nintendo Switch 2 becomes a private big-screen setup you can carry anywhere," Zheng said.
Viture says it holds more than 50% of the US XR display glasses market, citing IDC data for the fourth quarter of 2024, and has maintained that position since then. The Australian launch expands its retail presence as XR display glasses move beyond early adopters and into mainstream consumer electronics channels.
